Pacific Beach Ale House is known as a World Class Brewery and Restaurant, and the Best Destination for Craft Beer Aficionados. Entries will be judged based on beer quality and commercial viability as well as how they represent San Diego through their flavors and incorporation of indigenous items. Winning homebrewers will team with local breweries to brew their beers as part of the first-annual San Diego Estate Beer Project Pro-Am Competition, which will take place at Guild Fest, the official opening event of San Diego Beer Week. Entries for the QUAFF competition will be accepted through July 30, and interested homebrewers can register to compete online. Just like last year, pro brewers were able to select amateur recipes submitted by local homebrewers. Over the next three months, those beers will be brewed and tapped at release events where the homebrewers can share their creations with friends, family and the beer-loving public.

It was such a smashing success that Homebrew Summer is back for a second year, and it’ll be even bigger and better this time around. Make this year’s celebration special by indulging in our thoughtfully curated three-course Thanksgiving dinner, crafted with love and tradition. Each meal includes persimmon-apple-sausage stuffing, whipped Yukon gold potatoes, sage gravy, cranberry-orange relish, Brussels sprouts with balsamic glaze, and a dinner roll. The restaurant boasts a state of the art sound system, 18 large flat screen televisions, indoor and outdoor event space and two full service bars. This flexible event space is in a prime beachfront location, just steps away from the famous Pacific Beach Boardwalk and historic Crystal Pier. Patio seating is enclosed with glass windows that allow for great views of the Pacific Ocean and Crystal Pier.
Second-story dining offers an unobstructed ocean view with soft breezes, vibrant surroundings, and sensational sunsets for the perfect beachside experience. The menu was carefully created by Executive Chef Eric Sarkisian, who set out to design an inventive seasonal menu. His vision combines fresh, locally sourced ingredients from both land and sea with a fresh twist on traditional cooking methods. For lunch, dine on starters like Fried Dill Planks – golden beer battered pickles served with a spicy ranch dressing.
